After playing in and around their hometown of Nashville, Tennessee for over 20 years, Piper & The Hard Times have been shot out of a cannon since winning the 2024 International Blues Challenge (IBC). The band was formed when Steve "The Conductor" Eagon met Al "Piper" Green at a Nashville blues jam in 2000. An instant friendship and musical chemistry was formed, and Dave "Sexy Boy" Colella quickly joined on drums. With outstanding musicianship and a joy for playing together, Piper & The Hard Times earned a reputation as a "must see" live act in the southeast. Eagon and Green showed an immediate writing chemistry, and the band released two demo CDs in the early 2000s to sell at shows.
