The Dudok Quartet Amsterdam embark on a traversal of the three string quartets of Tchaikovsky. This first volume contains Nos.1 & 2. No.1 has one of the most famous movements in chamber music; the beautiful Andante cantabile slow movement. The second quartet, though less popular, is a step forward for the composer.
