Boris Midney- Don't Leave Me Hanging / Wooden Wooden Puppet
The chief architect of the euro-disco sound of the late 1970's, Russian born producer Boris Midney built a state of the art recording studio in New York City, became one of the first producers to fully utilize 48 track recording, and proceeded to make symphonic disco music that completely revolutionized the dance music scene, paving the way for emerging styles of trance, hip-hop, drum & bass and house music. Presented here is Midney's rare 1979 single "Don't Leave Me Hanging" b/w "Wooden Wooden Puppet," released under the moniker Masquerade, featuring his trademark blend of strings, horn and percussion - creating a sound that propelled disco to new heights of sophistication. The single has been newly remastered from the original 7" vinyl mixes.
