The hit motion picture "O" - a 2001 American romantic thriller and modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's Othello set in an American high school starring Julia Stiles and Josh Hartnett - featured a soundtrack that contained many different styles of music, ranging from rap to opera. The soundtrack from the movie became quite popular and a series of limited edition, promo singles were released on the cutting edge Antra label. One of the most popular singles from the soundtrack was an 8 track single split between hip-hop legends KRS-One and Schooly D, each with 4 mixes apiece.  Hailing from the Bronx, NY, Lawrence Parker, better known by his stage name KRS-One, was originally a graffiti artist who designed the logo for B-Boy Records. As a pioneer of hip-hop music and culture, he was awarded for his work and effort toward the Stop The Violence Movement. Over his career, he has been known by pseudonyms including "Kris Parker," "The Blastmaster," "The Teacha," and "The Philosopher." He contributed the track "Shadup Ya Face" to the "O" soundtrack - represented on the single with four exclusive mixes, including instrumental and acappella versions. Hailing from Philadelphia, Schooly D was one of the earliest exponents of gangster rap along with the likes of Ice-T, Toddy Tee and Kool G Rap. In his long career he has produced several classic albums and has contributed music for several films. His track on the single, "Yes, Yes, Y'all," is given the same treatment with 4 mixes. After a renewed interest in the movie and the great soundtrack that accompanied it, we are proud to re-release these classic singles for a new generation to enjoy.
