Del The Capris- Our Love (It Ain't The Same No More) / Love Fever (CD)
Not to be confused with the girl group from Philadelphia with same name whose members included Nona Hendrix and Sarah Dash, or the acappella street corner group from Jersey City, New Jersey, The Del Capris featured here were a talented soul and funk music outfit from Newark, New Jersey. The last of their known output is this 1970 single, "Our Love (It Ain't The Same No More)" b/w "Love Fever" which features a majestic soul ballad on the A side, coupled with a horn-driven funk workout on the flip. Both sides were written, arranged, and produced by the famed songwriter, arranger, and producer Paul Kyser - known for his work with Stevie Wonder, The Chi-Lites, and The Three Degrees among many others. He was the mastermind behind the one-album disco project The Super Disco Band which he released on his own label Pi Kappa Records. This ultra-rare soul single was originally released on Kyser's own Silver Dolllar Records imprint and is presented here newly remastered.
