Formed by Kimberly Vice and Michelle Ausman, Hestina is a folk-soul duo who call New Orleans home. Their Autumn Tone Records debut, Blossom Talk is filled with beautiful harmonies that dreamily orbit around the plucking of dueling ukuleles. However, it’s truly the voices that are the star of the show. These ladies sing with attention-grabbing smokey blues voices. Classically sensual and burlesque. Their stripped-down, ukelele-dominated accompaniment invokes a misty post-rock dreamscape that offers an almost ironic contrast to the primal humanity of the vocals. Blossom Talk lacks pretension and over-thinking. It’s simple, beautiful, dreamy and rather steamy.

Tracklist:

  1. You Don't Fool Me
  2. Belong
  3. Dig
  4. Terror
  5. Big Blue
  6. Callus
  7. You Found It Out
  8. Dedicated
  9. Deadso
Format: New CD/Rock
