Rachelle Luk- Brought to Light
Rachelle Luk is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter and winner of the 2012 GMA Canada Songwriting Talent Search. Her music combines a soulful, expressive voice with heartfelt lyrics that are not afraid to explore the deeper stories and challenges of love, life, and faith. Rachelle's debut EP "Brought To Light", released in June 2014, is a collection of original songs that are very personal, yet still very relatable. Recorded in Toronto at Revolution Recording, it features an impressive team of musicians with Anthony Wright on keys, Drew Brown and Mike Klose on guitars, Tim Ball on bass, and Rob Brown on drums, as well as a string ensemble and members of the University of Toronto Gospel Choir. With a sound that has been described as a meeting between Brooke Fraser and Sara Bareilles, Rachelle's music has a refreshing relevance among today's singer-songwriters.
