Vivaola- Aporie Vivant (PREORDER)
Vivaola, who received high praise from various sources for his 2021 debut album Juliet is the moon, is now releasing his much-anticipated second full-length album 'APORIE VIVANT' on 12-inch vinyl. In contrast to the 'storytelling as fiction' of the previous album, 'Juliet is the moon,' this time, his lyrics are based on nonfiction, offering a more relatable perspective from the current Vivaola. The theme of the album explores the clash between 'Vivaola the artist' and his personal identity as an individual, resulting in a work with an introspective mood. Following his 2020 self-produced project STRANDED, and 'Juliet is the moon,' which featured collaborations with various producers, Vivaola speaks of a return to his roots, wanting to focus more on his songwriting and singing for this release. To achieve that, he brought on board Kota Matsukawa, the head of the creative label 'w. a. u,' as a co-producer throughout the album. Together, they pursued a real-time, standard R&B sound that only this duo could create. Reflecting this, another notable feature of the album is the increased proportion of English lyrics compared to his previous work. The album also features guest appearances from artists who resonate with his values, including singer reina, who belongs to w. a. u, and artists from the same generation such as Orito Fujita, a member of Bleecker Chrome.
