Blues singer/songwriter Al Basile moves back across the line to swinging jazz, interpreting songs first done by Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, Maxine Sullivan, Sinatra, and others. Accompanied by Roomful of Blues saxophonist Rich Lataille and former Scott Hamilton Band co-leader Fred Bates, Basile features his singing and horn solo style, reminding us that blues was the key component in the earlier days of jazz.
