Bob Ackerman- La Mode
East Coast saxophonist & composer Bob Ackerman is known primarily for his writing (he has been a recipient of both NEA & Ford Foundation grants) & his robust, yet warm, tenor sound. Most of his new recording "A La Mode" features Bob on tenor, but he is equally at home on a variety of wind instruments, including flute & alto sax. This album is a straight-ahead, swinging, intimate recording on which Bob fronts a rhythm section of bass, drums & guitar, while E-Street Band (Bruce Springsteen) keyboardist Danny Federici makes an appearance on one track.
Tracklist:
- But Not for Me
- Blues a la Mode
- L.T.D.
- Robin's Double Rainbow
- Serenity
- It Could Happen to You
- I Didn't Know What Time It Was
- Tenderly
- Forget
- You and the Night and the Music
- Come in From the Rain
