Cantos De Las Posadas & Other Christmas Songs Rec- Cantos de Las Posadas / Various (CD)
Of all the religious celebrations which take place in Spain and Latin American countries, Las Posadas is perhaps the most meaningful and certainly among the most colorful. Literally translated, it means the inns; figuratively, the shelters, and it refers to the quest of Mary and Joseph for shelter as they reach Bethlehem. In towns and villages throughout Mexico and other parts of the Spanish-speaking world we can still witness the re-enactment of the peregrination during the nine evenings ending with Christmas Eve... Elena Paz and Carlos Garcia Travesi.
