Nevermore, Inc., in collaboration with Moon June Records, continues their comprehensive reissue program of the Copernicus catalogue with Victim of the Sky. This was the New York performance poet's second album, previously issued on vinyl in 1987. Copernicus had maintained a consistently uncompromising approach that involved the improvised connection between words and music. Most of this album was recorded live on May 13, 1985 at Studio C, RCA Studios in New York City, with the full band. Except "From Bacteria" which was recorded at the same studio in May of 1984. "Not Him Again!" and "Victim of the Sky" were recorded live at the Daily Planet in New York City on July 28, 1985 with only Copernicus, Matty Fillou and Marvin Wright participating. These recordings were spontaneous and unrehearsed with only few minor overdubs. The complete lyric sheet is included inside of the digipack. Tracks:1. Lies! 1:102. The Wanderer 3:313.
