(SACD-Hybrid) Maestro Alexander Dmitriev, who is an outstanding conductor, is unique among his Russian contemporaries in that he has also studied in Vienna, thus incorporating the classic Central European essence into his purely Russian ethos. This is one of the few recordings to contain the music of the late Russian conductor and composer Yevgeny Svetlanov. This features the 1982 Tchaikovsky Competition winner, Vladimir Ovchinnikov on piano, performs Yevgeny Svetlanov's Piano Concerto in C minor and Alexander Skryabin's Symphony No. 3 "The Divine Poem". This SACD format (Dula Layer Hybrid), along with the stereo version, also contains a Multi-Channel (Surround Sound) version.
