Guido Spannocchi- Kammermusik (PREORDER)

the album cover for Guido Spannocchi - Kammermusik
the album cover for Guido Spannocchi - Kammermusik

Guido Spannocchi's first new studio album since his seminal release and instant sell out album 'Perihelion' in 2021. Spannocchi explores his childhood growing up in Vienna surrounded by classical music and shows how his professional life in London makes it's mark with a modern cosmopolitan sound informed by his experiences and impressions of extensive touring and embracing the sound of the world. 'Kammermusik' features long term collaborator and cellist Danny Keane (Grammy-nominated composer and sideman of Anoushka Shankar & Mulatu Astatke) as well as Andea Di Biase on bass (Kenny Wheeler's sideman) and London Philharmonic solo percussionist James Larter on vibraphone and tubular bells. The album is Spannocchi's most daring, serene, and intimate work to date, presenting an entirely new sound without drums yet never shy of grooves. 'Kammermusik' combines idioms of jazz, contemporary chamber music, and elements of exotica, yet stays fresh and afar from cliches or tropes presenting a new soundscape and element of solace in our hectic world.Tracklisting:A1.
