The songs for baritone and piano collected on this album were composed by Eberhard Klemmstein between 1999 and 2020. They are settings of texts by German-language poets from three centuries and vastly different in temperament. They are performed by Baritone Christian Hilz and pianist Dorian Keilhack. Christian Hilz's artistic, musical, and pedagogical life is formed and infused by an approach to the repertoire of opera, oratorio, and art songs characterized by enthusiasm as well as zest.
