SEAMUS is a non-profit national organization of composers, performers, and teachers of electro-acoustic music. Electro-acoustic music is a term used to describe those musics which are dependent on electronic technology for their creation and/or performance. SEAMUS strives to address not only relevant technology but also the non-technical issues of aesthetics, collaboration, education, and ethical/social issues pertinent to the electro-acoustic music community. Through it's journal, newsletter, recordings, national meetings, and it's national archive at the University of Texas at Austin, SEAMUS seeks to increase communication among the diverse constituency of this relatively new musical medium. The release of the back catalog from the Music from SEAMUS series continues here with Volume 2, originally released in 1993. Electro-acoustic works by composers Scott Wyatt, Jeffrey Haas, Barry Schrader, Cort Lippe, Charles Norman Mason, George Todd, and James Mobberley are featured.
