This single is a true DFA family affair, bringing together good friends, musicians, and creative allies from the past and for the future. Family reunions are not supposed to be this much fun. Chearno sent the record to Holy Ghost! Who requested to work on "Goblin City." They then delivered one of the most relentlessly snappy disco dubs in quite some time. Panthers also asked Run-Roc to do a mix of the song and he came up with an excellent old school acid house version. Panthers used to play aggressive post hardcore before their style morphed into a somewhat sober version of anthemic stoner rock.
