Barnhart, a Professor of Jazz Trumpet at Florida State University, is now in his 17th year as a featured soloist with the Count Basie Orchestra, and has performed and recorded with an amazing range of musicians including Wynton Marsalis, Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin. He has also written the definitive book, the World of Jazz Trumpet, with introductions from Clark Terry and the late Freddie Hubbard.
