Freak-pop vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/producer Sugar Pit makes his long awaited full-length debut with the release of Shhh... Don't Jinx It, available now via Atlantic Records/Good Luck Have Fun Records. "Shhh... Don't Jinx It is about being a regular guy and grasping for a fantasy of SOMETHING MORE!," says Sugar Pit - a.k.a. Los Angeles-based artist Kian Stevens-Winston. "A lot of this album is just about regular guy stuff: working a job, getting paid, doing the laundry, and scrolling on your phone. The other songs are fantasy daydreams about escaping the mundane and living a rockstar fantasy, kinda like scissor-kicking and playing air guitar inside the DMV. Writing this album was a completely solitary experience. I wrote, recorded, produced, and played every instrument myself - alone in my living room in Boyle Heights, LA. I was trying to make songs that were authentic to me and an honest reflection of my life at the time, but more than anything I was just trying to write songs that made me laugh." Written, performed, produced by Stevens-Winston and mixed by Michael Freesh (Oliver Tree, Nelly), Shhh... Don't Jinx It includes the recently released "Magic" alongside such riotously radical tracks as "Sex Party," "Making Friends with the Cops," and "Data."
