White Hinterland is Casey Dienel, an American singer/songwriter and pianist based in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. She released her debut album, Wind-Up Canary, in 2006 on Hush Records. On this CD, there are songs of war-"Lindbergh's + Metal Birds", "Napoleon at Waterloo",-songs that sing of war's tragedy and of our casual modern society apathy.
