Kraftwerk- Kraftwerk
WAY BACK BEFORE THEY WERE PIONEERING ELECTRO AND TECHNO, the guys from Kraftwerk made some seriously experimental stuff. Their first two LPs (both self-titled, this is the first one) combine krautrock sounds with ambient noise and experimental electronics. Some of the tracks, like "Ruckzuck," feature relatively straightforward rock techniques, but others like "Megaherz," with its cocaphonous intro that leads to a somber keyboard and flute section, are much closer to ambient experimentation. Definitely an awesome look into the legendary group's early musical inclinations. Produced by Conny Plank and released in 1970. Black Vinyl.
