Kino- EVERYBODY'S GUILTY, BUT NO ONE'S TO BLAME
On this album, there's no fantasy filled with rainbows or happiness. Only anxiety, depression, greed and anger exist. Though these are not the only feelings that exist inside me but they were always part of me. This is my confession to everyone out there thinking my life is a bed full of roses. "Would you be able to accept my true self?" For 15 years, I've been fitting my life into a mold of acting flawless. Instead of processing what's wrong or right, I've been busy tailoring my standards to that of the others. However, it doesn't mean that the character portrayed in the media was all a lie. Kino you saw until now is Hyeonggu Kang, the man chasing justice and not afraid to express love to what I love but it is also a fact that there always has been a part of me that was not publicly shown. This led me to a question 'Am I being loved as myself as a whole or just a certain side of me?' This is not a story limited to a K-pop star. I'm an ordinary twenty-something, full of imagination, wanting to enjoy life to the fullest. It is human nature to be drawn to the things basic instincts attract, and I am no different. Behind the gentle and well mannered guy full of happy feelings, there is a guy who is anxious and depressed. At times, get violent or follow the basic instincts; Once I accepted the sides I've been ignoring, I came to love myself even more. 'It's all alright. They may be disappointed but also there will be a lot of people who can embrace the man I am and love me as who I am'.
