Del Reeves- White Christmas (Mod)
One of the most successful male country singers of the 1960's, Del Reeves began his recording career in the mid 1950's and scored his first big hit in 1961 with "Be Quiet Mind." Later in 1965, he had his first #1 hit with "The Girl on the Billboard," and the follow-up single, "The Belles of the Southern Bell," made the country top five. Del and his wife became a successful songwriting team during this time and wrote songs for many country stars including Rose Maddox, Roy Drusky and Carl Smith. Del also appeared in several Hollywood films including a supporting role in Burt Reynolds' first big movie Sam Whiskey. Presented here is a rare single, originally released in 1980, featuring Del singing two distinctly different versions of the holiday classic "White Christmas," - one solo and one with friends helping out. Newly remastered.
