Last Of A Dying Breed- Brink Of Distinction
In 2018, Mic Crenshaw and Micah Fletcher founded Portland Hip Hop duo Last Of A Dying Breed. In LOAD B we see two generations of master poet and emcee contrast and connect. Crenshaw was voted Portland's Best Hip Hop Artist by Willamette Week in 2016 and has traveled extensively in Africa, Cuba and Germany as a member of the African HipHop Caravan. Micah Fletcher aka Kool Chief Rocker is a nationally recognized poet who won Portland's poetry competition in 2013. Fletcher received global recognition for his role as a survivor of a deadly hate crime in 2017, stabbed in the neck by Jeremy Christian who has been charged with aggravated murder in the stabbing deaths of two others in that incident. In the wake of the attacks, Micah turned to his skills and began to create the work that is the foundation of his lyrical contribution to LOAD B.
