Cheb Bilal, whose real name is Moufok Bilal, is an Algerian singer of rai born July 23, 1966 in Cherchell. He began his musical career in the 80s as a chorus singer for Cheb Khaled and Cheb Faudel. In 1991, he released his first album entitled "Babor LI Jebni" which was a great success. Since then, he has released many albums and has become one of the most popular Raï singers in Algeria and in the Arab world. His songs deal with themes such as love, betrayal, family, society and politics. In addition to his musical career, Cheb Bilal is also known for his social and humanitarian commitment.
