Pepe & Her Rarotongans- Siren Songs of the South Seas - Music of the Tropical Isles
Hailing from the capital city of Raratonga, the largest of the Cook Islands, the South Pacific archipelago nation just southwest of Tahiti, Pepe And Her Rarotongans were a traditional music group that performed tunes that are indigenous to the island paradise. Recorded sometime between the mid-1960's and early 1970's, Siren Songs of the South Seas presents a genuine document of the traditional music of the area and is wholly unique. Presented here is the original album which saw its first release in the US in 1979. All 12 tracks have been newly remastered.
