Best known for her 1975 #1 charted R&B hit "Rockin' Chair," soul chanteuse Gwen McCrae first recorded as a duo with then husband George McCrae in 1963 and went on to become one of America's leading female R&B vocalists of the 1970's. in the late 1980's Gwen traveled to the UK where she became a popular attraction on the Northern Soul scene and eventually recorded a full length album for the British Homegrown label in 1996.
