From Detroit to Houston to New Orleans to Mobile, songwriter/producer/musician/entrepreneur Sax Kari is one the true unheralded greats of early R&B. His career stretched from the 1940's as bandleader, to operating a chain of record stores in Detroit in the 50's while simultaneously releasing several hit R&B instrumentals (remember Chocolate Fizz?) - to early 60's New Orleans where he was A&R man for Allen Toussaint's Sansu Record label - and, all the while, a great blues performer in his own right. This record showcases the best of his blues experiments in 1980's Miami.
