Sabine Kühlich studied jazz in Amsterdam and New York; she is a passionate composer and swinging interpreter of the Great American Songbook. Brazilian and Cuban music left an imprint on her work as well as tours and album productions with jazz legend Sheila Jordan - born in 1928! Her "perfect timing" (Barry Harris) and "brilliant music with wonderful lyrics" (Sheila Jordan) can be found on several releases, featuring her as a guest as well as front woman. Laia Genc lives and works in Germany; she is part of Cologne's rich music scene and performs on stages throughout Europe and the world, both with her own projects and as side-woman. A soulful sound painter, improviser, composer and arranger, she gives many projects a special color of her very own, combining jazz, free improvisation and a lot of musical charm for an unmistakable sound. Her extended piano techniques give Laia the liberty to exhaustively explore the boundaries between composed structures and improvisational freedom.
