In her formative years, Big Freedia served as the choir director for her high school and home church, and developed her love for music performing with the New Orleans Gospel Music Workshop of America, and the New Orleans Gospel Soul Children. On her forthcoming release 'Pressing Onward' - Big Freedia is taking it back to her roots, with a new Gospel album, set for physical release November 21, 2025.
