Chopin / Manfred Reuthe- Piano Solos 2 (CD)
The Berlin-born pianist Manfred Reuthe was just 17 years of age when he played Chopin's Piano Concerto No.2 with the Berlin Philharmonic. Later concert tours took him to South Korea, Japan and South Africa. Since 1973 Reuthe has spent a total of eight years working as a professor of piano in South Korea, and he taught at the Berlin Univ. Of the Arts for 15 years. Like this Bella Musica Chopin and Liszt CD, his recital programs are particularly centered around the virtuosic Romantic piano works of Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and von Weber, and the French impressionists Debussy, Ravel and Messiaen.
