Starting out as a vocalist for Creative Funk, Diane Jenkins made her mark as an exceptionally soulful performer. Although Creative Funk were quite successful for a short while in their hometown of New York City, they never had the backing of a major label to expose them to a wider audience. Leaving behind some wonderful recordings with Creative Funk - and also as a featured solo artist, Jenkins carved out a small but impressive legacy in the few years she was active that will no doubt resonate for years to come.
