Originally formed in 1960, the New York based Doo-Wop group The Excellents consisted of John Kuse (lead), Joel Feldman (baritone), Denis Kestenbaum (falsetto), George Kuse (first tenor), Phil Sanchez (second tenor) and Chuck Epstein (bass). Prominent local concerts helped to establish the group's reputation as a popular live act and radio airplay soon followed. In 1963 they released the classic single "I Hear a Rhapsody" on the A-side and 'Why Did You Laugh' on the B-side. Presented here is that original single, newly remastered.
