Originally formed in New Haven, Connecticut in 1955, The Five Satins are widely revered as one of the greatest vocal groups of the doo-wop era, or any other era, for that matter. Led by the exceptionally talented vocalist and songwriter Fred Parris, The Five Satins are best remembered for the doo-wop classic "In The Still Of The Night," a song Parris had written in the basement of a local church. It was the very first single they released, and remains the biggest hit of their career. Presented here is one of their later singles, originally released in 1962 on the New York based Musictone label. "To The Aisle" b/w "Just To Be Near You" features a tender ballad with a clever arrangement on the A side, and a lively, syncopated dance number on the flip.

Tracklist:

  1. To the Aisle
  2. Just to Be Near You
Format: New CD/R&B
