The group featured Billy Idoland Tony James, both of whom went on to achieve notable success as solo ar & sts and as members of the band throughout the decade andbeyond. Recorded in just one week in a converted garage, the band's debut album was produced by Mar & n Rushent (known for his work withThe Stranglers, Buzzcocks, and The Human League). The record introduced a cleaner, more refined sound, with a par & cular emphasis onfocused vocals, and is oRen cited as an early influence on the development of the pop-punk genre. Although ini & ally underrated, the albumstands as a compelling snapshot of the era, reaching the UK Albums Chart and featuring the single "Ready Steady Go."Lead singer and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Billy Idol remains ac & ve as a solo ar & st and con & nues to tour interna & onally. He has alsoreleased a documentary, "Billy Idol Should Be Dead," which offers an in-depth account of his life and career in music.This version is presented in a new Red colour LP.
