Now in her late-eighties, Katie Lee has had a professional career spanning six decades. She began her professional career in 1948 as a stage and screen actress, performing in movies and radio shows. In the early 50's, she was a pioneer actress and folk music director. In the mid-50's she left Hollywood to spend 10 years as a performer in coffeehouses and cabarets throughout the US, Canada and Mexico, singing folksongs accompanied by her own guitar. This live recording from the legendary Troubadour club in Hollywood, California, faithfully captures an important chapter in Katie Lee's impressive career. Newly re-mastered.
