Ruggero Manna is a composer with a central position in the musical panorama of the XIX Century, and today deserves to be completely rediscovered. In this new release the Lux Animae Ensemble and Alberto Pozzaglio rediscover the Neapolitan school, the composer's counterpoint, the Viennese stylistic resonances and the musical influences of the Italian melodrama. Founded in 2013, by Gianluca Boari, the ensemble Lux Animae is composed of ten musicians, some professional, some amateur, but with years of musical experience between them. Since 2014, the group has been led by Maestro Alberto Pozzaglio, an expert on Renaissance music with a degree in organ and composition.
