2011 two CD collection from Scotland's premier Rock export and inspiration for a host of Hard Rock acts that followed (most famously perhaps, Guns 'n' Roses). Nazareth are rightly lauded for their powerful originals, but it is probably by stamping their identity indelibly on other people's songs that they gained the keys to Rock Valhalla; notably with their versions of 'Love Hurts' (#1 for a year in Norway!) and Joni Mitchell's 'This Flight Tonight'. with their no-nonsense brand of Hard Rock, elevated by lead singer Dan McCafferty's incredible voice, Nazareth won themselves a significant global following in the 1970s that remains loyal four decades on.
