The concerto is complemented by a collection of pieces from Elgar's time, all chosen by Sheku as a reflection on the different moods and influences in Elgar's seminal concerto. Selections include new arrangements for various string settings, from Sheku's own arrangement for solo cello ("Blow the Wind Southerly") to a six-cello arrangement of "Nimrod."
