One of Miami's premier old-school gospel groups who started out in the early 1950s, The Spiritual Harmonizers were originally led by lead vocalist Otis Wright, then by his son Artise Wright. They made quite a few recordings on a variety of labels including their own Spiritual Harmonizer label in the 1960s and 1970s. The group remained active well into the 2010s. Featured here is one of their rare singles, "Ten Thousand Tongues" b/w "He Rode On A Windstorm," originally released on their own Spiritual Harmonizer label sometime in the late 1960s or early 1970s. "Ten Thousand Tongues" provides a beautiful example of the old school a cappella style ballad singing with Artise taking the lead vocal. The upbeat "He Rode On A Windstorm" features the elder Wright taking the lead with great percussive accompaniment and vocal gymnastics from the group.  The single is presented here newly remastered and finally made available in the digital domain.

Tracklist:

  1. Ten Thousand Tongues
  2. He Rode On A Windstorm
