Tom Dyer- History of Northwest Rock 2: 1970-1980
Tom Dyer- History of Northwest Rock 2: 1970-1980

Tom Dyer's third album in his "history" series, following "History of NW Rock Vol. 1: 1959-1968" and "Olympia: A True Story". These are not unbiased histories, these are a reflection of Dyer's experiences, preferences and tastes. "Volume 2" runs from 1970 to 1980, with the majority of songs coming from the punk rock days of '77-'80. Like Vol. 1, these are interpretations rather than simple copies. Dyer: "These bands had an impact on the music I make - I thought they were all pretty damn cool. It was a fun challenge to come up with a really new approach to these songs, while keeping their essential spirit." Featuring the songs of: The Accident; Ballin' Jack; Jim Basnight; The Beakers; Blackouts; Chinas Comidas; The Colorplates; The Enemy; The Heats; Heart; Jimi Hendrix; The Macs; Red Dress; S'Nots; Student Nurse; Telepaths.
